Development of a quantitave CT score

CT scans provide basically qualitative data. However, for assessment of changes of lung pathology, and for scientific studies, quantitative data is essential. A number of approaches have been used for development of scores for various diseases, including cystic fibrosis (CF) and primary immunodeficiencies.

The chest CT group presently develops an own score based on the knowledge of these distribution of CT-pathologies obtained by our cross sectional study and based on experiences in development of scores for CF and PID patients.

The score will be validated for inter- and intra-rater reliability.

The group aims to provide both training and reference images in order to ensure that the score can be used as a validated tool in multicentre studies.
